Greatest Professional Accomplishment
Landing a Cardiology Fellowship Position at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

What first attracted you to the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU)?
I chose CMSRU because of Cooper Hospital’s excellent track record in producing highly competent medical graduates, CMSRU’s emphasis on community service, and the opportunity to forge a new path as a member of the inaugural class.

What was your favorite course at CMSRU and why?
I loved our active learning group. The exceptional people, the different approaches, our ALG leaders, and case-based learning fused medicine with science imparting relevance.

What is your fondest CMSRU memory and why?
Match Day. The energy was amazing. Being surrounded by my loved ones, encased by my medical school friends, and then opening my envelope finding out that I made it to Brown Internal Medicine. I can still remember hearing the room break into celebration with me/us, it was an unparalleled experience.

How have your experiences at CMSRU helped you in your professional and personal life?
CMSRU not only taught me how to care for patients, but they furnished multiple examples of exemplary professionalism, they demonstrate the importance of assisting within the community we serve, and CMSRU granted me the ability to achieve broadly.

What advice do you have for current students who want to make the most out of their experience at Rowan?
As physicians, we are privileged to share the most challenging moments and the largest celebrations our patients’ lives. Never forget that many want to become physicians, but few get the opportunity. Take advantage of all of the opportunities that our school offers. If you see a need, don’t be afraid to forge a new path or create a new program.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?
Spend time with my wife, Tammy, as well as my two sons Danny and Connor. We enjoy camping, hiking, and I love to fish.

Fun fact about you
While I was a medic in the USAF, I was lucky enough to be chosen to have dinner with President Clinton in a hanger at Ramstein Air Base in 1999.
